Elmo Myers, Jr., 73, of Harrisburg, fell asleep at Spring Creek Nursing and Rehab Center on Sunday, May 12, 2013. He was the son of the late Georgia and Elmo Myers, Sr. and retired from Camp Hill State Prison as a Lieutenant with 25 years of service. Sonny or Buck, as he was known by family and friends, was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and served as an Elder. Besides speaking to people about the Bible, he also enjoyed swimming, playing pool, cards, dancing and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years; Frances Myers, children, Gaye Myers of Harrisburg, Shannon Myers of Enola, Tyrah Miles of Harrisburg, siblings, Barbara Walker, predeceased by his sisters Ruth Courts, Margaret Brewer and Marie Barbour, also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at11:00 a.m. at 4331 Rodkey Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
