Elizabeth Watts Smith

"Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow ~ don't walk behind me, I may not lead ~ Just walk beside me and be my friend." -unknown Elizabeth Watts Smith, 77 of North 5th Street passed peacefully in Harrisburg Hospital January 27th, 2009 at 11:30AM. Elizabeth retired after over thirty years of government service in Mechanicsburg, PA. She was a member of the American Legion Post 733 and she loved the Arts. She was also a caregiver of the elderly. Missing her but letting her go are her three children, Benita Smith of Delaware, Lawrence Smith of N.J. and Vernon Smith of Pittsburgh. Her sister Erline Jefferson of Harrisburg will miss her as well as three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services for Elizabeth will be held in the Hooper Memorial Home Inc., Thursday February 5th at 11AM with interment at William Howard Day.
