Edna Mae Nicholson, 61, affectionately known as âMa Ednaâ or âPudding,â was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 17,1953 to Mollie Clemmer Shaw and Albert Rainey. She was raised in Charlotte, NC and eventually resided in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. While in Harrisburg, she met her fiancé, James P. Williams of 25 years. During her time, she worked at Red Roof Inn, Harrisburg Hospital and also operated her own cleaning service. She enjoyed going to the thrift store, aka âCameron Street Mall,â planting flowers and spending time with her friends and family.
Edna was an excellent provider for her family and a loving friend. She was a wonderful person who was caring, giving, energetic, respectful (yet dontâ push her the wrong way), and she had a sense of humor. She was especially thankful of the small things, which meant the most to her. Edna loved to read and do puzzles. Indeed, she was a great listener and learner who was even taught by her grandaughter how to âTWERKâ! She leaves to cherish her memory her only child, LaâTonia Rainey of Pa.; stepdaughter, Ebony Williams of Harrisburg Pa.; stepson, Preston Williams of Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Sandra Adams of Dallas, N.C., Joann Rainey of Gastonia, N.C., Atecha Minor of Gastonia, N.C. and Jill Shaw of Harrisburg, Pa.; three sisters-in-law; three grandchildren, LaJessica Rainey of Harrisburg, Pa., Christopher Davidson, Jr. of Harrisburg, Pa. and Talesea Anderson of Salisbury, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews, a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and two special puppies, CoCo and Cookie.
