Dwayne Anthony Jackson

Dwayne Jackson of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, born on January 29, 1958, to the late Samuel D. Jackson and Clara M. Frye, completed his earthly journey on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in an untimely death. He graduated in 1975 from the academic program at McDevitt High School before spending three years at Rutgers University, where he majored in Sociology.

Dwayne began his working career in Harrisburg as a Special Project Director for the Economic Developers of Greater Harrisburg, a non-profit inner-city housing renovation organization. His next job was with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a safety inspector, until he joined Appleton Papers in 1986, where he held multiple positions throughout his many years of service. He continued his career in various roles, from musician to transportation.

Dwayne had a love for motorcycles and a passion for playing the drums. When mixed with the love of his family and the joy of his friends, his life was complete.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his father, Samuel D. Jackson; mother, Clara M. Frye; and half-sister, Elaine Davis of Virginia.
