Your heart can be empty because you can't see her, or you can be full of the love you shared. Dorothy M. Speaks 84, of Schuylkill Street passed peacefully on April 2, 2012 in the Spring Creek Nursing Home. She retired from the Harrisburg Hospital as a physical therapist and was a member of The Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Dorothy loved shopping and horticulture. She was predeceased by her husband Harold and son Charles Speaks. Missing her but letting her go are her devoted children; Deanna Heath of Michigan, Karen (Stanley) Monk of Florida, Patrice (Charles) Smith, Sherre Speaks of Harrisburg and Brian (Estelle) Speaks of California, twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild with a host of relatives and friends. Services will be held in her church 212 N Progress Ave on Monday April 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. Her final resting place will be at William Howard Day Cemetery. Hooper Memorial Home Inc is handling her arrangements.
