Dorothy Lee Lawson

Dorothy Lee Lawson, 89 of Harrisburg passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence on Linglestown Road. She was born in Rappahannock County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Thomas and Olive Peyton Lee. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Carroll, infant daughter, Estelle and granddaughter Nailah Lawson. She attended John Harris High School and was a graduate of the Harrisburg School District's Licensed Practical Nurse Program and was employed at the former Harrisburg Hospital for over twenty years. Surviving are two sons: Thomas and David; five daughters: Diane, Virginia, Nancy Duhart (Beauford), Marilyn Lawson-Pham, and Louise Reaves (Waitus). Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. A private viewing will be held for the family. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 21, 2009 at 10:00 am in the Hooper Funeral Home Inc., Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy's memory to The Carolyn Croxton Slane (Hospice) Residence, 1701 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
