Dorothy L. Ellis

Dorothy L. Ellis, passed peacefully Saturday, December 9th at home in her 71st year. Born in Fairchance, Pennsylvania she attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and graduated from Georges Township High School. A US Air Force veteran, she had worked at several installations, including positions at the Gap, Mechanicsburg Naval Depot, Naval Sea System Command to name a few before retiring. Prior to her illness, she worked with the Washington Convention & Tourism and Conference Systems Mangement. Dorothy enjoyed games of chance and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children Johnny Ellis, MD, Stacey Ellis, NY, Oliver Ellis and wife Cynthia, Harrisburg, three siblings, Roberta Boutselis, Donald L. Ellis Sr., and Patricia J. Thompson of Harrisburg, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Dorothy's life will be celebrated at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Friday, December 15th at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m., interment on Monday, December 18th at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The Family is appreciative of the support and kindness shown to them during their time of loss and sorrow.
