Dontae-DeVahn Kojo Winfield of Glenn Heights, TX, was born February 26, 2001 to Madonna Awotwi and Shannon Winfield in Harrisburg, PA. He transitioned, peacefully into the loving arms of God, on August 6, 2014. Before relocating to Texas, Dontae was educated in the Central Dauphin East School System where he was consistently an honor roll student. He continued his academic excellence during his tenure at Cordova Middle School in Cordova, Tennessee where he completed 7th grade. Dontae loved to be with his family, reading, learning, play video games and especially football. Dontae landed first string spots on every team he played for such as the the Paxton Panthers Pee Wee, Susquehanna Indians Midgets and the Cordova Cougars. His love for the game extended off the field, as Dontae was a loyal New York Giants fan. Dontae's personality was infectious and his smile lit up every room he entered. The dimming of the light he shared will be missed by many family and friends. He had a compassionate heart that others could never disregard and was a protector of all that he loved. He always made it a point to make sure other people were okay.
