Donald E. Lockett

Donald E. Lockett, 68 of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on October 19, 2012. Donald was educated in Shelby, NC, upon graduation he moved to Harrisburg working at Polyclinic Hospital, Allegheny Pepsi Co. and finished in sales with 25 years at Lance Inc. He enjoyed watching the Cowboys, the Steel High Rollers, gardening and caring for his fish. Donald became a member of the Paxton Lodge #16, F & AM Prince Hall He was preceded in death by his parents Carlizle and Beatrice Lockett, his son Daryl L. Thompson, siblings; James Lockett, Lula Lockett, and Minnie Sue Watson. He leaves to celebrate his life his wife LaVerne Lockett, daughter Donna M. Lockett, sons; Kevin E. and Sandy Alston, Christopher, Brian and Lamar Lockett, Dwayne and Eric Orr, siblings; Mattie Kates, Lola Mae Gentry, Dorothy Woods (Willie) and John Lockett (Beatrice), 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Services will be held at Hooper Memorial Home on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., viewing 10:00 a.m. with his final resting place at William Howard Day.
