Doeva Bowman Watts was the daughter of the late Edward and Carrie Addison Bowman and was born on December 24, 1944 in Sylvania, Georgia. She received her formal education in the Harrisburg School District and graduated from John Harris High School in 1962. During high School, Doeva participated locally, statewide, and nationally in the Elks Oratorical competition and placed 2nd nationally. After high school, she worked for the State as a Systems Analyst as well as in other capacities and retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Doeva enjoyed traveling, reading cultural literature, attending church services, helping others, and especially cooking and spending quality time with her family during holidays and special occasions. Sharing the memories of Doevaâs earthly journey of good times and even challenging times are her three daughters, Crystal Davis Daniel, Arleen Davis, and Kimberly Davis: Five Grandchildren: Kiyana Davis, Kelly Davis, Timika Fisher, Umar Bethea, and Jibreel Bethea. Three Great Grandchildren: Jazmere Davis, Tyhere Gibson, and Tymia Gibson all of Harrisburg; Four sisters, Bessie M. Wright of Atlanta, Georgia, Daisy Bowman of Harrisburg, Pa, Rebecca Bowman of Philadelphia, and Elizabeth Hickson of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and a Son in Law Aboubacar Madoka of Harrisburg, Pa. We will always love and cherish the memories of our Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend.
