Deacon John N. Jenkins Sr

Deacon John N. Jenkins Sr., 70 of North 15th Street passed peacefully at home May 22 with friends and family. He was retired from the City of Harrisburg and Charter member of the Shiloh COGIC also a member of the Executive Board in the Church. John was a Sunday School Teacher, member of the Transportation, Mission and Finance Boards as well as a member of the Recruits for Christ Choir. Deacon Jenkins as he was affectionately known, was a member of AFSCME Local 9001. Amongst the many who will miss him are his children Ann Marie Frison, husband Gregory, John Jr., Allen Scott, Ernest and Brooke White McCready; siblings Jerry, Russell and Allen Jenkins. Susie Smith, Eliza Marbury, Minnie, Carrie and Patricia Jenkins with a host of other relatives, friends and church family. Services will be held in his church Saturday May 26th at 10AM with viewing at 8. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
