Deacon James E. Jackson Jr.

Deacon James E. Jackson Jr., 78 of Harrisburg, passed peacefully at Community General Hospital on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.  James was the son of the late James and Vivian Jackson, born in Reading, PA. He retired as District Director from the State Parole Board for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A member and Deacon of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church; affiliations and memberships with NAACP, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice and National Baptist Layman’s Movement to name a few. James leaves behind his children; Zachery Jackson of Steelton, Todd Jackson of Texas, James, Jason and Marissa Jackson of Harrisburg, siblings; Doris Wing of Philadelphia, Robert Jackson of Shoemakersville and Grant “Ronald” Jackson of Reading, his sweetheart Wenda Dinatale of Lebanon, several grand’s and great grandchildren, numerous relatives and friends.
