Emblem

Darlina L. Ampadu was born on September 17, 1976, at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital in Brooklyn, New York to Arleatha Reddick and Gregory Ghee, Sr. On July 6, 2024, Darlina's life was complete, and she began her eternal journey with the Lord. She is now in God's hands; no more worries; no more sorrow; no more pain. Darlina attended Taylor Business Institute where she graduated with a Degree in Business Administration. Darlina worked as a security officer at Allied Security Services until recently working as a Home Health Aide with Red Lion Home care. Her client felt very safe and secure with Darlina. Darlina was a protector and had a very big heart for all she came encountered with.

Being the outspoken individual that she was, she would never hold back what was on her mind regardless of your feelings and how you would take it. She was a great pleasure and touched all our hearts in many different ways. She truly "Kept it real" and had quite a sense of humor. As she was a well-rounded individual, she enjoyed gambling, family gatherings, cooking, spending time with her kids and traveling. She also was very creative in her style of dressing, often colorful clothing and platform shoes. Darlina was very strong-willed and didn't allow her health situations to bring her down. She was a breast cancer survivor who instilled in us all that no matter what the statistics say, there is always a way. Darlina lived her life to the fullest.

We are all suffering such a difficult time. Remember, this is only a step closer to everlasting happiness and we may see all our loved ones again. Until then, cherish the moments we all shared with her. We will always keep her in our memories.

Darlina is preceded in death by both grandmothers, Mrs. Mary Ghee and Mrs. Ruth Reddick and grandfathers, Mr. Paul Ghee, Sr. and Mr. James Reddick, Sr. and her Spidey grandchild Penelope, three uncles, James Reddick, Jr., Kenneth Reddick, Richard Reddick, and seven aunts, Geraldine Braxton, Catherine Canady, Betty Reddick, Margaret Milbrooks, Theresa Ann Ghee, Evelyn Ghee, Delores Yvonne Ghee. Darlina leaves all to hold and cherish her memory; husband, Armando Ampadu; her three children, Tremonisha Bradley, Shakim Lewis, and Khalif Ampadu; Her best friend/ex-Husband, Troy Bradley; Son-in-Law, Giovanni Green; Her six brothers, Emmanuel Suggs, Elijah Reddick, Lameek Reddick, Mitchell Reddick, Gregory Ghee, Jr, and Naquan Ghee; Her three sisters, Shaquanna Reddick, Margaret Reddick and Shaniqua White; Her five uncles, George Reddick, Keith Ghee, Kenneth Ghee, Bilal Zi'mah and Melvin Ghee; God-Daughters, LaTeesha Blake and ShaKaiya Blake, and granddaughter, Tru Jones.
