DaJanica Sheila Resch, affectionately known as DJ and Daj, was born on May 1, 1993, in Santa Clara, California. She most recently lived in Harrisburg, PA, where she poured her heart and soul into her family, especially her two beloved children, Jayden, 7, and Skye, 2. DJ's life revolved around being a dedicated mother, and she cherished every moment spent nurturing and guiding her little ones. She was deeply committed to creating a loving environment for them, often engaging in activities like reading and fostering their education.
DJ was not only a loving mother but also an inspiring individual with dreams of becoming a psychologist or a teacher. Her aspiration was to help children, particularly those who faced difficulties such as abuse or neglect. In addition to her maternal instincts, she advocated for the Deaf community, a cause she hoped to engage with more actively as her children grew.
DJ shared a profound partnership with Mikey Miller, her life partner, who stood by her through life's challenges. Their relationship was built on love and mutual support, and DJ often expressed her gratitude for him. They considered each other husband and wife and shared a bond that transcends life and death.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her mother, Shevette, who resides in Las Vegas and misses DJ dearly. DJ is also survived by her older sister, Tanica; her younger sisters, Shani and Alissa; and her brother, Dylan. She shared a close bond with all of them. Together, they formed a strong family unit that cherished their time together.
A woman with a kind heart, DJ's greatest joy was to see others happy and thriving. She leaves behind many loving aunties, cousins, friends, nephews, and a niece who will forever hold her memory close. DJ's legacy lives on through her children and the love she shared with those around her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in a private family service. Burial will follow at Shoop's Cemetery immediately following the service.
