It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Crawford Lawson Sr., 78, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He departed this world after a life richly lived in love and kindness on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at home, surrounded by his three children.
Mr. Crawford Lawson Sr. was born on December 23, 1946, in Milledgeville, Georgia, the son of the late Roosevelt and Tessie Mae Lawson Sr.
He was a graduate of William Penn High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Upon graduating, he pursued a career with Pennsylvania Power and Light Company (PP&L), where he later retired in 2002.
Mr. Lawson was best known for his gifted hands. A craftsman by trade, he had an exceptional ability to build, repair, and create anything—a passion he was widely recognized for, second only to his love for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was also known for his kindness, generosity, and love for all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lawson was predeceased by his sisters, Peggy Tabb and Penny Elaine Lawson.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita Lawson, and their three children: Crawford (Julie) Lawson Jr., Kelly (James F.) Williams, and Felicia (Dennis) Ragland. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
Additionally, he is survived by his three sisters: Shirley Sanderfur, Christine Lawson (Harrisburg, PA), and Myrtice Lawson (Spartanburg, SC); five brothers: Roosevelt Jr., John Calvin, Tony Eugene, and Duane Leon Lawson (all of Harrisburg, PA), and Rev. Willie (Margaret) Lawson (Sumter, SC). He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved him deeply.
Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
