Clara W. Walton

"There is a place, I have been told, Beyond an open gate, all have been invited, Where friends and loved ones wait" Clara W. Walton, 89, passed peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 20008 in Harrisburg Hospital. Ms. Walton retired from the Federal Government, Homestead Air Force Base, as a Seamstress making parachutes. Clara served over 65 years as a Deaconess and Trustee Assistant and a Girl Scout Leader at the Second Baptist Church of Harrisburg. She leaves to mourn her passing her adopted daughter Barbara Graham of DC, two devoted nieces Mattie M. Barber and Peggy Watson-Scott of Harrisburg and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., viewing at 9:00 at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. and burial following at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Road, Suite 200, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
