Carol Lee Seay was born October 12, 1954, in Harrisburg PA. She is predeceased by her loving parents Patricia and Thomas Glasper Sr., brothers Thomas Glasper Jr., and her daughter Sonya Glasper.
Carol received her formal education in the Harrisburg School District. She was a member of the first graduating class of the merged William Penn and John Harris high schools.
Carol was employed in various positions at Pennsylvania Blue Shield as a Computer Programmer. Carol uprooted herself and left Pennsylvania to work as an IT consultant. Her first contract was in New Jersey at AIG as a programmer/analyst consultant. Carol continued consulting for several companies, including Chubb Insurance, BEA Systems (Web Logic), and the Florida Department of Education before moving to Delaware to consult for MBNA. After the death of her father, Carol returned to Harrisburg to be closer to her mother and provide companionship. As a self-taught Web Designer, Carol offered web design and web hosting services to small businesses under her company name Web Madam LLC.
If you ever had the pleasure of speaking with Carol, you undoubtedly encountered her wit and sense of humor. No matter the situation, whether good or bad, happy or sad, Carol had a way of finding what was funny in the moment. In her younger years, Carol enjoyed bowling, shopping, and decorating. While her parents were alive, Carol actively participated in the family's daily card games. Carol and her mother would also 'play' Jeopardy along with the game show contestants. They kept to this tradition no matter where Carol was living. This is a testament to their commitment to 'competition'.
Carol enjoyed cooking, she loved watching her favorite TV shows, such as Curb Your Enthusiasm, Big Brother, Rachel Maddow, and other news programming. In recent years, one source of great joy was Giovanni (Gio), her Rottie. Carol could be seen on any given day sitting on her porch while she and Gio played with his toys.
Carol is survived by her sons; Julian Seay Sr., and Paul Seay, grandsons, Julian Seay Jr., and Jalil Seay, granddaughter, Nevaeh Holton, sister, Tamera Clemens (Howard), sister-in-law, Stacie Glasper, sister/cousin, Jocelyn Barbee, four great-grandchildren Jeremiah Seay, Kayden Seay, Juliana Taylor, Kash'mauri Jackson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
