Carol Ann Napper-Morris was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on April 21, 1946. She was the eldest of ten children. Carol had two lovely children Cara A. Morris-Henderson and Lewis B. Morris.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Napper-McCloe and Daniel McCloe, her sisters, Marion Napper, Sharon Witt and her son Lewis B. Morris.
She leaves to celebrate her life and legacy her daughter Cara A. Morris-Henderson (James Johnson), daughter-in-law Vanessa Bergen-Morris (the late Lewis B. Morris), granddaughters, Annique Howell and Tiara Bergen, grandsons Derrick Brewer, (DeJa) and Jalen Bergen, Angelrose and Katara Surajpal, great-grands Zharuan, Zhalyn, Dawayne, Alicra, Grace, Zymarion, Zemra, Jeremiah and Hezekiah.
Carol's sisters include, Vivian E. Brooks, Dayton, Ohio; Dora Mapp (George) North Carolina; Barbara Hawk (Robert) Scranton, Pennsylvania; Lynn McCloe Scranton, Pennsylvania; and Daniela McCloe-Henderson (Raymond) Dayton, Ohio. Her brothers, Dale McCloe (Jeanne) Scranton, Pennsylvania and Duane McCloe, Scranton, Pennsylvania. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends here and across the country.
Carol's attended George Washington Carver, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
then on to George Washington, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Tech High School, Scranton and attended the International Correspondence School, also in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Carol retired from The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Welfare, and worked in the Comptroller's Office, a Caseworker for the Hunt Organization, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, as a Human Service Worker at Camp Curtain YMCA, Harrisburg, the Lackawanna County Board of Assistance, in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
In the community she was helpful to all. Carol served as the Treasurer of the community based "Tuesday Birthday Club". She was a Member of AFSCME Retirees, Secretary for AFSCME Council 90, as well as Member of AFSCME VIP group.
Carol was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was President of St. Paul's Episcopal Church Women, served on the Fundraiser Committee, Supervisor of the Kitchen, member of the Vestry, Property Committee, and taught Sunday School and Junior Wardon.
Carol worked with Leisure Time Tours, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, as a Girl Scout Leader, Scranton, Dance Class Instructor (Camp Curtin YMCA), Organized & Narrated Fashion Shows & Plays (Camp Curtin YMCA), Fundraiser Committed Leader (Camp Curtin YMCA), and Sewing Class Teacher (Camp Curtin YMCA).
Carol continued to live a passionate and love filled life until the end. She was also passionate about her love of God, Family and Friends. Carol loved shopping, partying, sports, traveling but mainly being there for others when needed.
