It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Taylor King who peacefully left us on November 8, 2024, at the age of 85. She was born on February 14, 1939, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, and lived in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for over 65 years. During those years she lived a full and purposeful life dedicated to the Lord and blessed with grace, love, and resilience. She had a deep love for reading, learning, and civic engagement; these interests were a constant source of joy and inspiration. A beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, nana, and friend, Carol touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and wisdom. She was known for her infectious laughter, boundless curiosity, and unwavering commitment to her family and faith. Throughout her life, Carol was passionate about helping others. She spent over 40 years of her life as a Registered Nurse helping patients from all walks of life; working within the PA State Health System, Harrisburg School District, and as the Assistant Director of Nursing at Dauphin Manor Nursing Home.

She is preceded in death by her husband David A. King Sr., her father Leo Taylor and mother Georgie Cook Taylor both of New Kensington, PA; her sister Elizabeth Taylor; her brothers, Richard L. and David Fleming Taylor. Her family was the center of her universe, and her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were blessed to call her their own.

A celebration of Carol's life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Hooper Memorial Home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where family and friends can gather to share memories and honor her remarkable life.
