  "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose... "   Blanch Lawson, 88, of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2011 in Harrisburg Hospital. Mrs. Lawson retired from Harrisburg Hospital as a Lab Technician; she was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, she loved her family immensely; she also enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and games of chance. Mrs. Lawson was predeceased by her husband, Herman Lawson Sr., parents Lon and Florence Jeffries, daughter Lula Lawson and siblings Robert Lee Simmons and Lula Hill. She leaves to celebrate her life and memory her children; Dr. Herman Lawson, Jr. (Margie R.), Robert Lee Lawson Sr. (Margie L.), Larry E. Lawson Sr., Gloria Bright, Shirley L. Lawson, Delores Ford and Elma J. Scott, 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held at her church at 1201 N. 17th Street, Harrisburg on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m., burial in East Harrisburg Cemetery. The family is appreciative of the many acts of love and kindness shown to them during their time of bereavement. Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. is caring for and handling Mrs. Lawson's arrangements.
