Beverly Aliya Johnson was born on August 27, 1973, the fourth and youngest daughter of Melvin Thomas Johnson and Betty Jean Johnson. She graduated from Susquehanna Township High School (1991), Temple University (1996), Pennsylvania State University Harrisburg (2000). Bev spent most of her professional career working at the Fair Housing Council of the Capital Region, most recently as Director of Programs. She loved her neighborhood and volunteered with the Summit Terrace Neighborhood Association. Bev was a sweet and honest friend, her bright smile, laugh, and intellect drew people to her. Her compassion for people and animals was known to everyone who knew her.
She leaves behind to mourn her death, her mother Betty, her sisters, Kia (Tony), Paula (Pierre), and Valerie (Bryan). In addition, she leaves behind her nieces and nephews. Victoria, Sydney, Andrew, Alyssa, and Matthew. She was predeceased by her father, Melvin, and her nephew, Lawrence (Lance) Johnson. Our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, entered into eternal rest on June 12, 2020.
