Barbara Ann Boulware, beloved daughter, was born to the late Arthur and Mary Esther Hall Hill in Guilford County, High Point North Carolina.
During her formative years, she attended public schools in High Point, North Carolina. After migrating to Pennsylvania, she received her GED and then accomplished her life-long goal of obtaining a Bachelor of Health Administration degree from St. Joseph of Maine University.
During her career, Barbara Ann was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania until she retired from the Pennsylvania State Hospital with 31 years of service.
She was a caring and devoted member of the Hillside Seventh-day Adventist Church. Barbara Ann was very active in several ministries for many years. She served as Head Usher, as well as serving with the Health Ministry, Community Services, Fifty-plus Club, and Golden Agers. She was always supportive of the ministries of the church.
All who knew Barbara Ann, knew she had a flair and love of fashion and color-coordinated hats, purses, and shoes. She enjoyed riding in style and never saw a Lincoln Continental she did not like or the power of her Dodge Hemi. Barbara Ann enjoyed watching sports and 3ABN on television. She was an avid reader of the Bible and inspirational books. She also loved reading about health and knew all the good recipe books, which she would always recommend and freely give. When she saw a need, she acted on helping those she could. She enjoyed family gatherings and good food.
On Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the age of 89, Barbara Ann Boulware passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She is now sleeping in Jesus, the giver of eternal life.
