Amelia A. Hope

Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget Amelia A. Hope, 59 a friend to all and lover of family, music and community passed peacefully Tuesday in Harrisburg Hospital leaving to mourn five children William (Laura), Patricia and Alfonso Carter, Tracey Smith and Melody Fleming. Sixteen siblings; Lucille Layton, Mamie Wallace, Ruthie Brown, Marie Burns, Bobbie Jean, Deloris, Susan, Mattie, Mack Jr., David, John C., Jeffery, Larry, Johnny and Frances Carter, in addition to Salley Moore. She also leaves 18 grand and 7 great-grandchildren with a host of relatives and friends. Amelia was predeceased by siblings James Simpson and Mary Carter Services will be held in the Hooper Memorial Home Inc. Saturday at 1PM with viewing at 12noon. Her final resting place will be in Paxtang Cemetery August 23rd at 9:15AM.
