Tory Summerford, Sr.

Tory Lynn Summerford, Sr.

Tory Lynn Summerford, Sr. (Summy) 56 of Harrisburg passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was educated in Harrisburg public school district.  Tory was an accomplished drummer performing most notably with the band Due Process. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Tory was an avid chess player, excellent dancer, who loved music and fishing. His greatest love was his family, often getting them together for cookouts with foods prepared with his infamous hot sauces.

Tory is survived by his wife of 16 years, Lisa Roscoe, two daughters, Kamesha McKie of Washington, D.C., Danielle Summerford of North Carolina and, two sons, Tyrell Summerford of Tennessee, and Tory L. Summerford, Jr. of North Carolina, a sister, Margaret Butts (Lewis) of Harrisburg, two brothers, John H. Summerford, Jr. (Romaine) and Kelly D. Summerford, both of Harrisburg, 10 grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews, family and friends.   He is preceded in death by his parents John H. Summerford, Sr., and Annie V. Summerford of Harrisburg, a brother, Charles Ronald Summerford of Harrisburg, and a sister Linda Summerford-Allen of Virginia.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at 11:00 am with visitation at 10:00 am at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc., 3532 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17109.

Social distancing and wearing of mark are required at ALL times, even if fully vaccinated.
