Samantha King

Samantha Loretta King was born on January 28, 1966 to Bertha King and John L. Brown in Harrisburg, PA.

Samantha transitioned from this life into eternal rest on November 3, 2021 at Carolina East Hospital.

Samantha was a product of the Harrisburg School District before continuing her education at Thompson Institute  and received her degree in Accounting. She also attended the Academy of Medical Arts in Business where she obtained a degree in Digital Arts &Graphic Design.

She retired after many years of service working for Delta Dental.

Samantha loved collecting dolphins, cooking, enjoyed family outings/fellowships, had a love for house plants and listening to gospel music.

Samantha personality was bubbly/cheerful and she generally enjoyed people. Her heartbeat was the admiration and love for her grandchildren.

Samantha greatly enjoyed working with young people and youth in multiple capacities.

Samantha was one of the first chartered members under the leadership of Pastor Melvin G. Thompson Jr. (Co. Pastor Gloria J. Thompson) at True Worshippers Ministries where she remained until her untimely death.  She was very dedicated and faithful as a member at True Worshippers Ministries.

She worked and served her church in multiple capacities ranging from secretary/deaconess in training, head of the usher board, pastoral support,  community outreach and evangelism. She supported the food and clothing ministry, as well as youth seminars. She was also loyal to holiday giveaways and programs.

Samantha was preceded in death by her step-father Samuel A.J. King, her mother Bertha King and sister Sherry L. Boswell.  She leaves to mourn her daughters Aundrice Sapp and Tyrita King. Her siblings Aundrice Bartow, Samuel Beasley, Weldon King (Vita), Gloria Thompson (Melvin),Bradley Boswell (Andrea), Ronald Harper(Jessica), Angela Harper(James), Glenn Harper, Arnold Harper and William Harper. Step Mother’s Lois Boswell and Shirley Clemson. Her grandchildren Nilaysha Mitchell, Keondra Shields, Nizeair  Sapp, Niquan Sapp, and Unique Foye. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Mask are required and necessary during all services.
